Florian Kohfeldt to remain Werder Bremen head coach

Speaking at a press conference, Werder Bremen CEO Klaus Filbry has confirmed that head coach Florian Kohfeldt will remain at the club despite their poor season.

“We’re all sat here because together we all accept responsibility. We had an open, honest and self-critical analysis of the season. Personnel-wise, we will continue as we are now,” said Filbry.

Werder Bremen finished 16th but will remain in the Bundesliga after defeating 2. Bundesliga club Heidenheim over two legs.
