Ghana prodigy Felix Afena Gyan has promised to do more after heroics in AS Roma’s win over Genoa in the Serie A.
The 18-year-old climbed off the bench to score a remarkable brace to give Roma a 2-0 victory away to Genoa.
He had made two substitute appearance in the ongoing season before his swashbuckling performance last Sunday in his third Serie A game.
Afena-Gyan is the first player born in 2003 to find the net in Serie A, let alone to bag a brace, and even he seemed incredulous.
Speaking to DAZN, the enterprising forward hailed his coach Jose Mourinho for his contribution towards his rise in the game and has therefore promised to do more in subsequent matches.
“Mourinho is a great person, a great manager and a great coach. He gives you the motivation to learn every day. I am very happy he is here.
“Tonight is a dream come true. It was my first goal, I was hoping for a very long time. I want to continue my performance, prove myself and do more in future.”
