Fabregas names the best manager he’s worked with in his career

Cesc Fabregas has played under the tutelage of many top managers but has named Jose Mourinho as his pick all through his career.

It’s safe to say Cesc Fabregas has played under the best of the best of managers in a career that has spanned 17-years since 2003.

For someone who has played under the likes of Arsene Wenger, Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho, it could indeed be a tough choice to pick his best.

Despite getting his professional club debut under Arsene Wenger, Fabregas has named Jose Mourinho as the manager he enjoyed working with the most.

“When I was with Mourinho, I realised that he was the coach who best managed my head,” Fabregas explained in an interview with Rio Ferdinand as quoted by Marca.

“He is the perfect coach for great players, he works a lot on the psychological side and it motivates you.

“One day we were on a streak in the league and I got a message from Mourinho, I thought it was to say we were playing well, but it turned out he was telling us all that we had been awful in the last match.”

Fabregas also revealed the message Mourinho sent him that convinced him to make the move from Barcelona to Chelsea back in 2014.

“He called me and said ‘I only need two players, I will sign Diego Costa and for sure, if you come with me then we’ll be champions,”

Fabregas added.”He has a system that works very well and he only wants specific players for that system.”
