Ex-Atlanta United standout Miguel Almiron strikes again for Newcastle United

It’s two goals in two Premier League games now for Miguel Almiron, who continued his fine form for Newcastle United against West Ham United Sunday.

After scoring a stunning solo goal in a 4-1 hammering of host Bournemouth Wednesday, the former Atlanta United standout struck for the first-half equalization back at St. James Park.

The Paraguayan playmaker, who reportedly has drawn interest from Atletico Madrid, split a pair of West Ham defenders to connect on an Emil Krafth service to level from the edge of the six-yard box.

The 26-year-old, who joined Newcastle in Jan. 2019 on a record transfer, has eight goals in 38 appearances in all competitions this season.
