Everton make informal contact with Juventus midfielder

Premier League outfit Everton have had informal contacts with Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot according to reports.

The French midfielder has been seriously linked with a move to the Premier League this summer and Everton, being managed by his former boss at PSG, Carlo Ancelotti, are interested in signing him.

The Italian gaffer requires someone in his team to control the tempo of the midfield, and also control possession for the Toffees in the middle of the pack.

Therefore, Rabiot could be the ideal candidate to do this as both of them have a working relationship in their time together at Paris Saint-Germain.

Rabiot made the move to join Juventus in Serie A, a move that has seen his development stall due to lack of regular first-team action under Maurizio Sarri. Therefore, he may be eager to leave Turin for more game time to fulfill his potential.

A player of Rabiot’s quality going by his precedence at Juventus will undoubtedly enjoy first-team action at Goodison Park under Ancelotti. Everton are also working on a project to see them compete in Europe and Rabiot will gladly join the ship.

Meanwhile, Everton’s fortunes this season have improved since the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti and they’re hoping to make it to Europe next year if they boost the team with new signings in the summer.

Everton may have an advantage of a reasonable transfer fee if a potential deal will be struck as the Frenchman has not been able to establish himself as a key player at Juventus.

He’s not a key player in Turin and it remains to be seen when the Toffees will eventually make a move for him, as well as the region of the transfer fee that will be quoted for his services.

Regardless, a deal will be ideal for both Everton and Adrien Rabiot.
