Cristiano Ronaldo and his Juventus teammates unveiled the club’s new and rather bizarre-looking third kit for the 2020/21 season.
The latest Juventus third kit, described by Adidas as a ‘bold orange’, will certainly take some getting used to as it’s not only the first time the club has used such a color, but it’s hardly easy on the eye either.
Aside from the orange part, the jersey also has a black number in a special camo-like print. The logos and club badge, meanwhile, will be white.
“We wanted to create the three Juventus kits for the 2020/21 season through the lens of art,” explained Adidas designer Francesca Venturini on the club’s website.
“The products that we were able to create demonstrate how the world of design and art can merge together.
“Juventus is a club that is synonymous with innovation and is a global leader in football, so we focused on how to bring unique elements into each uniform. And so for the third jersey, we used orange for the first time in the club’s history.”
Juventus also added that the purpose behind combining orange, black, and white in this kit was to ‘reflect the spirit of the team on the pitch’.
The third jersey was launched on August 26 and almost a month after the home kit was unveiled.
