Ygona Moura, a Brazilian influencer who is a denialist with regard to COVID-19, has been infected with the coronavirus and now finds herself in a serious condition in an induced coma and on life support in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The young woman belonged to a group of people that have downplayed COVID-19, and she frequently posted pictures of herself partying despite the virus, without wearing a mask, even though Brazil is one of the countries most affected by the pandemic.
It is worth noting that Brazil’s president, Jair Bolsonaro, is one of the most prominent denialists, as he has not supported those that have lost lives and has criticised quarantine initiatives.
