    City’s Garcia out of the hospital and doing well

    Manchester City defender Eric Garcia is released from hospital following his horror collision with teammate Ederson during the victory over Arsenal.

    In the latter stages of the clash between Manchester City and  Arsenal, 19-year-old Eric Garcia received medical attention on the field following a collision.

    The younger defender was ultimately wiped out by his own goalkeeper during an attempted clearance.

    The City number one comes flying out of his box at speed and cleared everything in his path including the unsuspecting defender.

    Warning this video is not for the faint-hearted.

    Garcia wad subsequently stretchered off the pitch and taken to hospital.

    Today his would-be attacker, Brazilian shot-stopper Ederson confirmed his fellow Citizen was recovering well and on his way home from the hospital.

    The club released a statement confirming the player’s situation.

    The statement read:

    “Eric Garcia has been released from hospital after suffering an injury during last night’s Premier League win over Arsenal.”

    “Eric was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary Hospital after the game as a precaution for further tests.”

    “He will be monitored in the coming days, ahead of a return to training and competitive action.”
