City Left With Fixture Nightmare After Dates For Chelsea, Arsenal And Tottenham Games Are Revealed

Manchester City will face Chelsea (twice), Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham (twice) within the space of 40 days at the start of next year.

The Premier League champions were already due to take on Chelsea in the league on January 5th but, after the FA Cup third-round draw, they will now also come up against the Blues in another game just a few days later.

Due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II back in September, City’s matches against Tottenham and Arsenal were postponed but they have now both been rearranged.

Just five days after the Manchester derby, they will play at the Etihad versus Spurs, with the return fixture on February 4th. The Arsenal match at the Emirates is now set to take place on February 15th, concluding a manic six weeks for the Citizens.

If Pep Guardiola’s side get through that period unscathed, they will be firm favourites to retain the league title.
