Chelsea & Man City go after Digne

According to a recent report from the Mirror, both Manchester City and Chelsea are interested in making a move for Everton full-back Lucas Digne – and they’re willing to do battle in order to get him.

Both clubs want a new left back during the summer transfer window, with Digne being in solid form over the course of the last few weeks under Carlo Ancelotti. Whether or not the Italian is interested in selling him, given what he’s trying to build at Goodison Park, is another matter altogether.

Chelsea are in desperate need of some defensive incomings during the window, but the same could also be said for City. The two are believed to be the most realistic contenders to challenge Liverpool for the Premier League title next season, but if they want to do so, they have to do everything in their power to strengthen at the back in the next few months.
