Chelsea and Liverpool are ready to bid for Brighton’s Ben White, while Arsenal are set to rubber-stamp a £30m sale once Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has signed a new deal, all in the papers.
LIVERPOOL, CHELSEA BATTLE FOR WHITE
Liverpool and Chelsea will reportedly battle to sign Brighton defender Ben White this summer following the central defender’s successful loan spell at Leeds United.
The Daily Star claims both clubs are chasing the 22-year-old, who was a huge part of Leeds’ Championship-winning side.
White was ever-present for Marcelo Bielsa’s outfit – and the West Yorkshire side have seen two bids for the centre-back turned down.
Sky Sports claim Leeds have seen £22m turned down by Brighton, who seem keen to get into an auction for White.
The paper claim Liverpool poised to make an opening £20m bid, which will almost inevitably be turned down.
Chelsea though are prepared to better anything on the table.
Albion are believed to have placed a £40m price-tag on the youngster, who is under contract until June 2022.
Chelsea are keen to offload Antonio Rudiger to help fund a move for White.
However, the Daily Mirror claims they are also looking at Manchester City defender John Stones and hope to sign the 26-year-old England international for £20m.
