    Chelsea could cut Leicester’s lead to just one point

    Leicester blows the chance to open up a seven-point lead over Chelsea as they are held to a nil-nil draw by Brighton Hove Albion.

    The gap between Leicester and Chelsea who are third and fourth respectively could be down to just one point by Thursday.

    Leicester City played Brighton tonight and could not muster up a victory against their lowly opponents.

    While Brighton hovered just five points above the relegation zone before tonight’s games, the Foxes had a three-point lead over Chelsea.

    However, in a drab affair that only yielded three shots on target between both teams, neither side took advantage of the opportunity to take a firm grip on their future.

    Perhaps the clearest opportunity fell to Neal Maupay when he stepped up to take a frist half penalty, which was brilliantly saved by Kasper Schmeichel low to his right.

    The hosts were dominant in possession but could not make effective use of the ball.

    Those that have Jamie Vardy in their Fantasy Football team and were hoping for some bonus points from the forward, might want to look away now.

    After beating Arsenal at the weekend the Albion will feel they should have done better.

    Brendan Rodger’s side will be hoping that they can hold it together for the last seven games. The last thing they need is to get dragged into the Champions League squabble that is ensuing beneath them.

    This Leicester side seems to lack the composure and consistency of the Foxes of old.
