Champions League Wore the famous trophy as a hat
There has been a light-hearted end to the 2019/20 season, with Lucas Hernandez seemingly inventing a new way to celebrate Champions League glory.
After signing for Bayern Munich from Atletico Madrid, Lucas has been forced to battle injury problem after injury problem, even sparking some speculation that he could leave Bavaria after just one season.
Yet he picked the perfect moment to enjoy on Sunday evening.
As the trophy was passed around from player to player, he posed for a photograph with it on his head.
It’s somewhat surprising that nobody has ever thought to do this before given the dimensions and size of the cup, yet Lucas certainly entertained his teammates with the act.
His success in Lisbon, despite not playing a single minute of the final, means that both brothers in the family have now won the Champions League after Theo Hernandez did it with Real Madrid in 2017/18.
