Celtic reluctant to push to sign Ghana’s Antoine Semenyo due to injury concerns

Scottish giant, Celtic are still interested in a move to sign Ghana international Antoine Semenyo.

This is according to information gathered from sources.

However, transfer insider journo Pete O’Rourke argues that the club may be reluctant to pursue the move due to injury concerns.

“Semenyo has been linked with Celtic for a long time now. He’s somebody that’s been on their radar for the last couple of transfer windows as well.

“Obviously, I think he’s carrying an injury at the minute so that’s maybe stalled a potential move on this one, but I’m sure Celtic will be maintaining a close brief on his return to fitness,” he told Football FanCast.

Despite his struggles with injuries last season, the Black Stars forward managed to have a good season.

He is keen on staying fit for the 2022/23 football season with the aim of starring to merit a place in the Ghana squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup set to be staged in Qatar.
