Cadiz vs Real Madrid | LaLiga Santander: Real Madrid squad list: Seven absentees for Cadiz trip, including Modric… but four additions

Real Madrid will be without seven first-team players when they take on Cadiz on Wednesday night, with Luka Modric the latest to join the growing list of absentees.

As well as the Croatian midfielder, Los Blancos are missing Toni Kroos, Fede Valverde, Eden Hazard, Ferland Mendy, Lucas Vazquez and Sergio Ramos.

However, Zinedine Zidane has been able to welcome back Dani Carvajal, Raphael Varane, Nacho Fernandez and Casemiro.

It is expected that Nacho and Casemiro will return to the line-up after missing the draw at Getafe last weekend due to suspension, but Carvajal and Varane are expected to be on the bench.

Regarding Modric, he suffered a back tweak during Tuesday’s training session and he will now be monitored ahead of Real Madrid‘s next two games, which are against Real Betis on Saturday night and Chelsea next Tuesday.

    Youth players called up

Zidane has once again dipped into the Castilla squad to fill out his squad, with Victor Chust, Miguel Gutierrez, Sergio Arribas and Antonio Blanco all being included for the Cadiz game.
