Brighton the latest club to show interest in RB Leipzig’s Angeliño

According to Florian Plettenberg, Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion are the latest team to show interest in RB Leipzig defender Angeliño.

The Spanish defender is reportedly considering a move away from the Saxony club after the arrival of fullback David Raum who will most certainly take a leading role instead of Angeliño.

It’s been reported that the 25-year-old has been offered to Barcelona but other clubs including West Ham United and Hoffenheim are keen to sign the defender. In particular, Hoffenheim, who having just sold Raum would happily take Angeliño on loan as a direct swap and replacement.

However, there is now a new team who may try to tempt Angeliño, Premier League outfit, Brighton. Graham Potter’s side are on the verge of selling fullback Marc Cucurella to Chelsea. Angeliño would be a like-for-like replacement and would bring Champions League experience to the seaside club.

It’s clear that the Spanish international isn’t short of potential clubs. It will be down to him and his team as to what their next move will be.
