Brighton set price tag for Yves Bissouma

Brighton and Hove Albion have warned the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool that a bid of around £40million would be required to sign midfielder Yves Bissouma this summer.

The 24-year-old is one of the sought-after players after an impressive campaign with the Seagulls which has caught the eye and attracted the attention of Mikel Arteta and Jurgen Klopp.

Bissouma, a Mali international, joined Brighton in 2018 and has been improving season after season since his arrival, coupled with the help and support of Graham Potter this season.

Brighton desperately want to keep the player and they’ve done their best to persuade him to remain committed to their cause, adding that he would see a huge development in his play if he commits to another year at the Amex.

Regardless, they are realistic about their chances of keeping him especially now that the Premier League’s big boys are beginning to circle around him.

The Reds are yet to get Wijnaldum to commit to a new deal at Anfield and Klopp has identified the Malian as an ideal replacement for the Dutch midfielder if he decides to make the move to Barcelona on a free transfer.

Meanwhile, Arteta is keen for the services of a dynamic defensive midfielder who will allow Thomas Partey more chance to create from the middle of the park next season, as Dani Ceballos’ loan deal may not be made permanent.

The Seagulls want to keep the player but a report by the Sun claims that they are willing to accept a fee of around £40million.

It appears they are resigned to losing their man in the next transfer window and would be hoping for a bidding war between Arsenal and Liverpool to hike the player’s valuation.

Chelsea have also been linked with the player and we look forward to seeing where he’ll end up in the summer if he calls it quits at Brighton.
