Borussia Dortmund’s Michael Zorc confirms Gio Reyna contract discussions

    « Back

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc confirms the Bundesliga are in talks with 17-year-old midfielder Gio Reyna over a long-term deal.

“Lucien and I very much agree about Gio. We believe he has a good and bright future ahead of him,” said Zorc.

“We’re in good discussions with him about tying him to Borussia Dortmund for as long as possible as he turns 18. This is a success story that we want to continue.”

Reyna has a contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2021 but bosses hope to tie him down to a long-term contract after impressing during his early career.

The 17-year-old has featured in 14 (278 minutes) Bundesliga games this season and has also featured in the Champions League and DFB Pokal.
