Barcelona Spoke about club strategy
Josep Maria Bartomeu considers women’s sport and youth football as key aspects of Barcelona‘s future.
The Blaugrana president participated in a videoconference with London Business School, where he discussed the Catalan club’s strategy going forward.
“Six years ago, we made our [women’s team] professional and since then, they’ve experienced a great growth,” Bartomeu said.
“We’re very happy because, at the moment, Barcelona are a sustainable team and we’re growing with the income generated.”
Bartomeu also spoke about the importance of Barcelona‘s academies in expanding their brand and reputation around the world.
“We’ve also done it through the actions of the Barca Foundation and other activities, like the Barca Innovation Hub or Barca Studios,” he noted.
