Australian Open Serbian won in four sets
Novak Djokovic is still injured, so he says, but he is also still very much in the Australian Open and winning games as he advances to the semi-finals.
The Serbian played through the pain to beat Milos Raonic in the round of 16 and has done so again to beat Alexander Zverev in the quarters.
Nole actually dropped the first set to the German but came back to take the win in four (6-7(6), 6-2, 6-4 y 7-6(6)).
The 33-year-old is reluctant to reveal the extent of his injury troubles, but he did say that if it were another tournament he would have already pulled out.
Djokovic didn’t appear to struggle, however, as he dispatched Zverev to set up what on paper would appear to be a straightforward semi-final.
Standing between Djokovic and the final, where he hopes to arrive and clinch his ninth Australian Open title, is Aslan Karatsev, ranked 114 in the world.
