    Arthur Cabral on Newcastle United radar?

    Newcastle United have reportedly placed emphasis on signing Basel forward Arthur Cabral during the January transfer window.

    The 23-year-old has enjoyed an impressive 2021-22 campaign for the Swiss outfit, contributing 25 goals and eight assists in 26 appearances in all competitions.

    A recent report suggested that Barcelona are weighing up a January move for the centre-forward, who could be available for €15m, with his current deal is due to expire in June 2023.

    However, according to Goal, the Magpies are also firmly in the race for the Brazil international, who has scored 14 goals in 14 league appearances for Basel this term.

    It is understood, the Premier League outfit now have the financial capacity to compete for players due to their Saudi takeover, which is expected to see them spend massive during the mid-season transfer window.
