Arsenal & Liverpool told minimum fee needed to sign Yves Bissouma

    Yves Bissouma

Yves Bissouma has so far notched 94 appearances in all competitions for Graham Potter’s Brighton.

The 24-year-old is confident with the ball at his feet, and more than capable of picking it up from deep to either take players on, or pick out the right pass to a teammate. Bissouma is also a progressive passer who generally avoids the sideways option.

And, at the other end of the pitch, Bissouma’s work rate and stamina allow him to get back and help out defensively.

It is also worth pointing out that, in the current Brighton system, Bissouma is generally fielded as the more defensive-minded central midfield option, alongside the likes of Adam Lallana or Pascal Gross.

    Bissouma a man in demand

Such fine form for a fairly average side, though, is of course going to attract interest from better sides.

And, recent reports have suggested that all of Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal have shown to be taking a look at the player.

The same report that mentioned the aforementioned trio’s interest also claimed that Bissouma had asked to leave Brighton this summer:

Yves Bissouma has asked to be allowed to leave Brighton and Hove Albion at the end of the season amid interest from a trio of the Premier League’s wealthiest clubs.

So, fans of City, Arsenal and Liverpool are no doubt eager to see how this transfer saga players out.

Liverpool will likely need a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum whose current contract runs out in the summer, whilst City also probably need reinforcements for when Fernandinho departs.

And now, it appears all interested parties have learnt what they will need to cough up to pry Bissouma away from the Amax.

According to a recent report from the Sun, Liverpool and Arsenal have been told they will need at least £40m if they want to sign Bissouma.
