Real Madrid attacker and Colombia international James Rodrguez is available for transfer this summer and Arsenal are the club who have shown the most interest in the player based on reports in Spain.
The 29-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements at Santiago Bernabeu under Zinedine Zidane having made just 14 appearances this season in all competitions with one goal to his name.
James Rodriguez, alongside Welshman Gareth Bale, was left out of Real Madrid’s UEFA Champions League R16 return leg against Manchester City at the Etihad on Friday.
They were subsequently eliminated from the competition with a 2:1 defeat having lost by the same margin to the Citizens in the first leg at the Bernabeu some months back.
Super Agent Jorge Mendes is working to engineer a move away from the Bernabeu for the player who has played for the likes of Porto, Monaco and Bayern Munich.

The likes of Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have been mentioned as possible destinations but a report from AS suggests that Arsenal are the club with the most interest in the Colombian.
The aforementioned clubs were interested in the player last summer but he wasn’t willing to exit Real Madrid. However, with the club keen to get rid of him, the former World Cup Golden Boot winner is now available for £22.5m this summer.
This comes as a surprise, considering that the La Liga giants parted with £63m to acquire him in 2014.
James’ contract will expire in the summer of 2021 and Real Madrid are keen to cash in on him instead of losing him on a free transfer next year, and more so, as he won’t be featured in games for a large part of next season.
James Rodriguez made just 5 La Liga starts for Real Madrid in the 2019/20 season and scored 1 goal last October.
